Aussie part-2 “Fluffy Bums”

Falafel rap with baba ghanoush, potato and coriander, humus and tabouli washed down with fresh lemon juice… that’s an Abduls Middle Eastern lunch delight!

Then it’s a ride down memory lane… or in this case, past the Opera House over the Harbor Bridge, across the Spit Bridge and on into Manly for a sweet meet up with Janette and let the Aussie UV rays attack my lily white American winter induced body on the balcony. Of course this body needs more than UV rays to set it right but it’s a start…LOL. The sound of the water lapping on the foreshore… the cockatoos screeching overhead… the low thudding of the Sydney to Manly ferries passing by while being served a plate of fresh fruit with Greek super smooth yogurt infused with passion fruit is enough to make one believe all is well with the world. Excuse me while I yawn and roll over in my lounge chair… and you want me to write a blog? Give me a break… oh that’s right I’m on a break!

Ok… here we go again. So like I was saying, the Sun, Surf and food of Sydney are just as I remember it (except more expensive now). This blog report will be about fluffy little friends as they are all around me here, and lets face it, who doesn’t love cute critters?

Bringing "Money" to the table

First off “Money” as in the cat called “Money”… who is as cool as a cucumber until he is hungry then it is time for you (humans) to get off your fat chuffs and serve me. Money rules Manly and loves to bring home all kinds of recently dead friends to show off, if you get my drift. With friends like this who cares about enemies!

him so he likes to bury his head in your hand when you hold him. But if you bring some berries to the party he will sit very happy munching on them like a sea otter. The word “cute” does not do justice to this little fluffy guy.

Not only did Brad and Liz move to Aussie but so did the pets in the family. Currently “Titus” the boxer and “Tina”… I have issues… the cat is in quarantine out west in Eastern Creek. I tagged along for a visit to the incarcerated pair. Tina

was first up and looked very healthy having put on a kilo. She had a reputation as an escape artist and has since settled down to become a model prisoner pre-purring to keep to her self. Titus on the other hand is ready to party with any and all. On approaching his kennel (cell) Brad

whistled and up leaped Titus from his slumber and I captured the moment from afar. Once he confirmed it was daddy come to visit he was bouncing off the walls. What a sweet boy he is… all slobber and love and wouldn’t hurt anyone. One more week and out of jail they come! Look out Sydney your fire hydrants will never be the same…
